When using infrared heating tubes, if frequent on-off operations are performed, it may indeed have adverse effects on the tubes. This is because each time the tube is switched on or off, it has to undergo a rapid change from a cold state to a hot state. The frequent alternation between cold and hot can accelerate the aging of the tubes, thereby affecting their service life.

This situation is not uncommon in actual operation. Due to the different choices of heating control methods by various manufacturers, the impact of infrared heating tubes in low-temperature environments is relatively small. However, in high-temperature environments, frequent starts and current surges may have a certain impact on the lifespan of the tubes. To avoid damage to control components, we recommend using a PLC to control the tubes by outputting power as a percentage, to ensure the stability of the heating process and the service life of the tubes.
